Teddy bear picnics hosted by the Affiliates have brought hundreds of people to the Institute for festive, fun-filled activities. The picnics have spotlighted the "Make Surgery Bearable" program and acquainted community friends with pediatric eye care services available at the Institute, as well as provided eye screenings and eye-care literature.
