Since its inception, the "Make Surgery Bearable" program has provided comfort and joy to children that undergo eye surgery at JSEI. Each child receives a Dr. Teddy, M.D. plush teddy bear (wearing green scrubs, of course) to help ease the anxiety of a difficult experience.

For a minimum donation of $10, you can send a Dr. Teddy to a child having eye surgery, and Dr. Teddy will "bear" the name you designate (you? a friend or loved one?). Grateful smiles are sure to follow.
