Mrs. Maude Feil

In addition to serving on the JSEI Affiliates Advisory Board, Maude is a dedicated community volunteer who serves on LACMA's Costume Counsel and supports various childrens organizations in Los Angeles.

Maude, born in Barrington, Illinois, grew up in both Rye, New York and Brentwood, California. Her father Norman Retchin was a writer and producer, and her mother Pearl "Merv" Mervis, worked in film in both Aspen, Colorado, and Los Angeles, California.

Keeping the family tradition alive, Maude has maintained a successful and longstanding career as a Motion Picture Costumer and also works with private clients to design their personal wardrobes. She currently lives in Manhattan Beach with her husband Gary Feil, an assistant director. Her daughter Lily and son Adam also work in film production.

In addition to a full time career in film, Maude also runs a business providing mild hyperbaric chambers treatments. The treatments have an anti-fatigue and anti-aging effect and Maude is excited about sharing how good it can make one feel. She enjoys helping people look good on the outside as well as the inside!

Rounding out her multifaceted career, Maude makes time to give back to her community. She has been a member of the Sandpiper organization in the South Bay, as well as KIDS ON THE BLOCK, a southern California puppet group that goes into schools to teach students about children with disabilities. Maude is also an active member of the LACMA Costume Council, a member of the JSEI Affiliates Board at the Jules Stein Eye Institute and a JSEI Affiliates program volunteer for both the Vision In-School and Preschool Vision Screening programs.
